Ingredients Required for Preparing Chocolate Cake

  • 5 eggs
  • 250 gm flour
  • 240 gm sugar
  • 240 gm butter
  • 2tbsp cocoa
  • 1tsp vanilla essence
  • 1tsp baking powder

Method for Preparing Chocolate Cake:

  1. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder together. In a non- reactive bowl, cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add in egg yolks whisking well after each addition. Whisk egg whites stiff and fold in alternately with flour.
  2. Line and grease a cake tin, pour the batter into the prepared cake tin, leaving a slight depression in the centre. Bake at 180 degrees centigrade in a pre-heated oven for 45 min to an hour. When done remove using the mittens and turn out into a cooling rack.
