Ingredients Required for Preparing Chocolate Cake
- 5 eggs
- 250 gm flour
- 240 gm sugar
- 240 gm butter
- 2tbsp cocoa
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 1tsp baking powder
Method for Preparing Chocolate Cake:
- Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder together. In a non- reactive bowl, cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add in egg yolks whisking well after each addition. Whisk egg whites stiff and fold in alternately with flour.
- Line and grease a cake tin, pour the batter into the prepared cake tin, leaving a slight depression in the centre. Bake at 180 degrees centigrade in a pre-heated oven for 45 min to an hour. When done remove using the mittens and turn out into a cooling rack.
