Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients for Preparing Chocolate Cookies

  • Butter or pure ghee ¾ cup
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 ½ cups refined flour and sieved
  • 3/4tsp baking powder
  • 2 slabs milk chocolate or cooking chocolate; chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method for Preparing Chocolate Cookies

  1. Grease the cooking tray and keep aside. Sieve refined flour with baking powder thrice and keep aside, beat together butter, sugar and essence till light and fluffy. Add sieved refined flour, baking powder to the creamed mixture and mix lightly along with milk to make soft dough.
  2. Add chocolate pieces to the dough mix thoroughly. Divide the dough into equal portions, make balls and press lightly. Place sufficient balls on cooking tray. Place cooking tray and bake at 160 degree centigrade for 12 min or till baked. Cool them and store in air tight container.
