Ingredients Required for Preparing Dhokla
- 200 gms gram flour
- 1 1/2 tsp mustard
- 200 gms sour curd
- 1 tbsp pil
- 1 pc ginger
- 3 nos green chillies
- 1/2 tsp sodabicarbonate
- salt to taste
- a pinch to heeng
Method For Preparing Dhokla
- Mix well the gram flour ,salt and curd and leave aside it for six-eight hours(overnight).
- Grind the ginger and green chilles to a paste and add to the mixture.
- Add the soda bicarbonate and sugar,beat well till it is light and frothy.
- Pour spoonfuls of the batter into the greased idli moulds.
- Pour 200ml water in the idli cooker at the bottom.
- Put the idli cooker on the stove (slow) for 15 minutes.
- Then allow the idli stand to cool and then cut them into cubes(dhoklas).
- Heat oil in pan, add mustard and curry patta to it.
- Pour this over the dhoklas and serve.
